Skybot 02:19
“Skybot” Warning, you are at liberty Danger, nothing’s happening Wanted, attempted honesty At large, in for questioning Think it over now you can’t be sure You may be right maybe you know better Caution, false security Speaking out, confidentially Quiet, is someone listening? Pilot, are you answering? Think it over now you can’t be sure You may be right maybe you know better Think it over now you can’t be sure You may be right maybe you know better Finding, there’s nothing more to see Lying, right underneath your feet Spotlight, might be following Silence, why are you running?
2.
Panic 01:35
“Panic” I looked at my watch It was half past you Time is running out Between me and you I see in your eyes My how you despise Can’t look past your lies Into starry skies Panic Panic Now look in my eyes See through my disguise Love you realize Now are you surprised I don’t want to be Your true enemy Got the same disease But we disagree Panic Panic I looked at my watch It was half past you Time is running out Between me and you I see in your eyes My how you despise Can’t look past your lies Three two one goodbye Panic Panic panic panic

Mirror, mirror, no hard feelings I know what you know You know what I know I go where you go You know what I do Yes dear diary All things being equal You can’t walk away When it’s time to face the Mirror, mirror, are you hearing? Mirror, mirror, no hard feelings I watch what you watch You’re done when I’m not I had what you lost You win I’m all out Yes dear diary All things being equal You can’t walk away When it’s time to face the Mirror, mirror, are you hearing? Mirror, mirror, no hard feelings

What Goes Up 02:19
“What Goes Up” When learning how to fly Don’t look to the ground An arrow in the sky May fall into your eye Have to tip your wing Into the mighty wind If this brings you down Will you look up again? What goes up may not come down What goes off just spins around Nothing to be gained Nothing to be lost Step into the rain Uncover the drain What flows up could make you drown Kick and float to run aground Plant the tree on hands and knees The seed inside grows both ways Then you pull the weeds As they make you sneeze Rake the falling leaves Blowing in the breeze What grows up from the underground Is it what you never found? If you need to re-believe Climb the tree, ask it please
5.
Boomerang 01:47
“Boomerang” On your mark False start Live with the error Hey, not so far Asking for care While people starve Burn up your block To keep it hot Your monthly check Already spent Table for two Plenty for all Bad news tonight Where has it gone? One coin to play This tilted game Cross do not walk Close mouth and talk Private drinking clubs Keep the public trust Thorns on a rose Swept under rug Steal from the reich What you don’t like Hear the alarm Lost in the storm
6.
Mad Reactor 02:01
“Mad Reactor” Turn the knob Way past on The pink exhaust A poison fog This toxic generation is drinking sewer water A race of jolly rogers the faces growing older Switch the light To ultra bright Not even banks Can heat the night Because human life is cheaper than electric power A leaky cooling tower is shocking every outlet Interrupting this transmission This is not a test Run for your lives Stay where you are The mad reactor Has lost its temper Turn the knob It won’t shut down Psycho kilowatts Times overload The circuit-breaking defect is fission boiling over Neutrons come to conquer like banging nails through paper
7.

Mercy 02:20
“Mercy” Money pays where justice fails Don’t try to deny it, buy it Courtroom cash to pay the bail Cash to keep it quiet, quiet Corporation checkbook cries And buys the mercy of the court Lawyer spins a web of words Round an unsuspecting jury Witness passes cross exam With his incorrected answers Under-table manners count Upon the mercy of the court Happy hunting watchdog man Guards the vaults of special interests Iron nightstick in his hand Keeps away the eyes suspicious Under-table manners count Upon the mercy of the court
9.
Paydirt 02:07
“Paydirt” Cotton candy cows on a stick Alligator clowns wrestling Bicycle monkey on a wire Siamese giants spitting fire See small man in lion’s mouth Catch the snake boy’s cannon shot Tightrope dancing elephants High-dive lady sawed in half Take a spin the wheel shoot the duck Watch the trapeze twins go flying off Pull the tiger’s tail win the slots Feed the human hippopotamus Ride the cyclone round it goes Where it stops nobody knows Funhouse tickets going fast Get your first now while they last Hurry hurry hurry, step right up Hurry hurry hurry, try your luck Hurry hurry hurry, you can’t go wrong Hurry hurry hurry, it’s what you want Throw your poker chips bait and switch Hook line and sinker now go fish 800-pound gorilla in the mist Meets raging bull in the labyrinth Pick a card the king of earth Bet your life for what it’s worth Ace of hearts worn up his sleeve Stuffed bear takes on Hercules Hurry hurry hurry, step right up Hurry hurry hurry, try your luck Hurry hurry hurry, you can’t go wrong Hurry hurry hurry, it’s what you want Hurry hurry hurry, step right up Hurry hurry hurry, try your luck Hurry hurry hurry, you can’t go wrong Hurry hurry hurry, it’s what you want
10.
S. Fiction 02:36
“S. Fiction” When the stork brought you around Mom gave you a magic wand Found yourself in wonderland With a looking glass in hand Broke the mirror in your room Stayed inside for seven years Stepped upon a sidewalk crack Thought you broke your mother’s back Cross your fingers, throw the dice, hold rabbit’s foot Dial a prayer, cut the cards, knock on wood Spilled a shaker full of salt Through a handful in your eye Crossed the path of three black cats Ran away from vampire bats Horoscopic fortune teller cast a spell Tossed your fortune down into the wishing well Took the psychic man’s advise Walked on water turned to ice Make-believing sacrifice Better luck in afterlife Crystal Ball is crystal clear Says you won’t live out the year Climbed up to a mountaintop Heard the signal to jump off Cross your heart and hope to die, it kills the pain Stick a needle in your eye, blinded faith Took the psychic man’s advise Walked on water turned to ice Make-believing sacrifice Better luck in afterlife
11.
Eggplant 01:52
“Eggplant” A simple thought so ill-pronounced Will bend the pattern deeply found All is backwards in the mirror Seeing what’s behind you Protect a view so incomplete The forceful side will learn defeat Standing clear but out of place The cautious side will be disgraced I am a flawed machine I don’t know what I mean Why do I even try? I can’t seem to get it right With half a mind and beat-down heart In deep together, world’s apart Bite the hand that feeds the dog Putting foot down in mouth Throwing down glove, hat’s in the ring Can’t raise the bar, hit ceiling Fall in line can’t keep straight face Trapped inside an open cage I am a flawed machine I don’t know what I mean Why do I even try I can’t seem to get it right Careful Don’t come Too close To me
12.
Clockwise 02:53
“Clockwise” Work bees in a hive Gears of enterprise Dying to survive Check in your name at the gate Company claims an inmate Instant coffee break Won’t keep you awake Feeding the copy machine More of the same routine May I take your order And make it my habit Personal profile Got lost in a file Now you’re too busy to tell Answering telephone bells Clock in, line up, shut down, fade out Talk the way you’re told Sell what you’ve been sold Marking the calendar day White collar turning to gray Clock in, line up, shut down, fade out Clock in, line up, shut down, fade out
13.
Bridge Out 02:32
“Bridge Out” The road you’re on you can’t get off Bridge out now how will you get across? You might have to take the long way around When there is no easy way out In what direction are now lost Can’t wait to get there fast enough You look for signs as they pass you by Racing through the yellow lights Now you’ve come so far What’s the hurry up to see how close you are? Are you breaking through the atmosphere? Or always on the going there In a race with everybody else You get ahead of yourself Looking for what you should watch out Lost in the rush to get what you want Are you bound to what makes you free? Gone before you’re there to see Now you’ve come so far What’s the hurry up to see how close you are? Now you’ve come so far What’s the hurry up to see how close you are? The road you’re on you can’t get off Bridge out now how will you get across? You might have to take the long way around When there is no easy way out
14.
Rock 02:20
“Rock” I’m on a rock in the water All alone, there’s no lifeguard I’m on a rock, miles of water Holding on as if it matters Got this sinking feeling Had it times before Hope I’m only dreaming Of the ocean floor I’m on a rock getting tired And the waves are getting higher I’m in a rock under water Losing hold, grabbing tighter Now I’m floating freely Nowhere near the shore Have to practice breathing And sleeping through the storms This swim could be nice Except for all the ice A new stone would suffice A little paradise I’m on a rock treading water I might survive, could retire I’m on a rock in the water With wooden rafts and ocean liners
15.
Gamma Ray 02:15
“Gamma Ray” One strange spaceman dropped to earth Landed on a cactus point Lone coyote, miles of dirt Blinked his eyes and he was gone Woke up on a busy street Backfire sirens screamed so loud Scratch voice barking in deceit Plugged his ears and he was gone He wandered at his will For perfection he would run Did he know that he had come? To the place where things succumb His short lesson had begun Walked into a battle line Asked the men to stop their crime Shrapnel fired in reply Closed his mouth and he was gone In outer space where he was from Only matched wits with the sun Never lived in confusion Next time back he’d think again
16.
Thank You 01:30
“Thank You” I see you But you don’t see me You don’t see me I hear you But you don’t hear me You don’t hear me You don’t hear me, sorry I dare you But you don’t dare me You don’t dare me I scare you But you don’t scare me You don’t scare me You don’t scare me, sorry I know you But you don’t know me You don’t know me I owe you But you don’t owe me You don’t owe me You don’t owe me, I’m not sorry

about

Blowtorch announces its first public offering and invites you to hear Justice Or Else, composed of 16 original punk rock songs. Blowtorch is the creation of musician Bill Mullins (guitar, vocal harmonies) and artist Clark Russell (lead vocals). Justice Or Else features Mullins (from Pittsburgh and D.C.) playing all instruments, includes recorded samples by Russell (St. Louis). Burlington Vermont-based Blowtorch, a four-piece set, is fortified by brothers Justin Crowther (drums) and Noah Crowther (bass).

Blowtorch songwriters Mullins and Russell rocked as teens in the early 1980s at the University of Vermont. Making up heartland punk tunes in the Christie Hall trash room, forming a band called No Fun, they played some of Vermont’s earliest all-ages punk shows as well as Burlington’s Flynn Theater. Thereafter, Mullins and Russell collaborated as members of Safari 500, a performance art, musical improv ensemble. Periodically writing conscious punk songs in tandem, sometimes doing their own music and art in different parts of the country, Bill Mullins and Clark Russell met up in Egypt. While sipping tea in ancient Thebes Blowtorch was conceived.

Blowtorch came to be during Reagan’s revolution-of-the-rich presidency. From Nectar’s and Burlington’s 242 MAIN to Gotham’s CBGB’s Blowtorch blazed. Blowtorch brought an end to the Cold War, called it a day. Summoned by George W’s international aggression, Blowtorch sparks did fly. Blowtorch smoked out sanctimonious neocon lies. Taking Vermont’s Higher Ground, Blowtorch had their New York Cake Shop and Brooklyn Galapagos too. Blowtorch helped elect the first Barack American president, was hoping to be through.
But with trumpets blaring off-key by white-wingers who would reign supreme, a woke Blowtorch declares its return to America’s alarming scene. “No love songs, no swear words,” the Blowtorch Doctrine decrees. Justice Or Else is no threat but a guarantee
